Children’s Ministry
We have children’s ministry happening on Sunday mornings for all ages.
The Pond is our nursery for infants – 2 year olds.
Brooks and Streams is our children’s ministry time that happens during the sermon portion of the Sunday morning worship service. We encourage parents to bring their children into the worship time to join us for the music, then Pastor Rob dismisses our children with prayer to head off for their own time of teaching. This group is broken down into two parts…
Brooks is for preschool to kindergarten. A team of teachers from our congregation take turns teaching these children Bible lessons that are appropriate for their age group.
Streams is for 1st – 6th graders. This time is led by the head of our children’s ministry program, Greg Frank. He helps our children experience God through a variety of fun, hands on activities and lessons. Our Streams group will be taking the summer off, so we invite the kids to stay in for the sermon. Pastor Rob prepares questions each week to keep the kids engaged and they can earn Kids Kash each week that they can save up for prizes at the end of the summer.
At The River, our desire is for parents and teachers to work together to enhance the spiritual development of their children. We encourage all families to be spending time in devotions and prayer at home. For suggestions on how to do this, please talk with Greg or with Pastor Rob.
