Our Denomination

The Christian and Missionary Alliance

Our Story: See a brief summary of the C&MA story here.

Our Mission: Jesus’ last words before His glorious ascension into heaven were given as a commission to His disciples. This Great Commission remains a command—a mandate—to every believer in Jesus Christ. His Great Commission is the call of The Christian and Missionary Alliance.

Statement of Faith: What The Alliance believes is foundational in its teachings about God and how He relates to us and how we relate to Him. Based on His written Word, the Bible, we are compelled to serve God and the people of His world. We live and die by these words and believe they bring the only life worth living—one wholly committed to the King Jesus. See the full statement here.

Fourfold Gospel: As we seek to know Jesus personally, being one with Him, He will reveal Himself as our Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King. Simpson called this theology the Fourfold Gospel, the Christological summary on which the spiritual DNA of The Christian and Missionary Alliance is built.

Alliance Statements and Perspectives: Throughout its 100-plus year history, the C&MA has always been known for its distinctive, scripturally grounded views on a number of topics held within the Christian faith. See them here.

Our President: Dr. John Stumbo

Our Family: We’re a family. The Alliance is one big, diverse, extended church family—with some half a million members in the United States alone. Every local Alliance congregation is one of about 2,000 fellowships worshiping in 38 languages and dialects across the country.
