Scott and Katie
The Lord directed Scott’s heart towards overseas service when he was in high school, and Katie’s during her years at Crown College. They met there at Crown and were married in 2005.
“After spending years in Wisconsin and then the Middle East we came to Berlin in 2019 to work with the majority culture—secular and atheistic Germans. A new language and tossing kids into German school have been two major challenges, but we enjoy the multi-cultural feel of the city, the diverse food offerings, the history, and the constant electricity (unlike the Middle East!). Only around 1% of Berliners claim to follow Christ, a figure even lower in former East Berlin where our team works. Because there isn’t an existing German church to work with, we are building from the ground up. That means time spent serving the community, building relationships, inviting people to read the Bible to explore Jesus, and forming churches from the ground up. “

Chris and Jamie O’Dell
Chris & Jamie O’Dell have been serving in Taiwan as Envision site coordinators since 2008. Jamie came first by accident. She was supposed to go to Turkey on a short-term missions trip, but the trip was switched to Taiwan. She led the team and went back three summers while she was at Crown College. Chris was on one of those teams. He was supposed to go to Thailand, but the leaders felt God was calling him to Taiwan, so he responded. Chris and Jamie started dating and got married one year later. While praying for direction after graduating, they received a phone call from Envision inviting them to move to Taiwan. They accepted and have provided expert leadership and vision to the site ever since! They serve with their three sons, Enoch, Noah, and Judah!
