The River Church is committed to moving outside the walls of the church and being part of the Chaska Community. We currently have no permanent location. On Sunday mornings we utilize the auditorium of the Southwest Metro Educational Cooperative at 401 East Fourth Street. We meet at 9:30 on Sunday mornings. Our other meetings and events take place in people’s homes, at local parks, and other local establishments. We try hard to be part of the community and to be involved in community events.
We also have no official office space. That means Pastor Rob uses a variety of different places throughout the community as space for work. You will find him most afternoons camped out at Dunn Bros., downtown on the corner of 41 and 2nd street. Also one day a week (typically on Wednesdays) he works from the Crown College Library to take advantage of their resources. If you see him around town feel free to pull up a chair and talk. If you need to get in touch with Pastor Rob, please feel free to call him at 952-448-1755 or email him at office@riveralliance.com.
Jesus calls us to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-14), and to be His witnesses (Acts 1:8) and Paul encourages us to be Christ’s ambassadors (2 Corinthians 5:20). We can’t do that unless we are out in the community. Maybe someday The River will have a more permanent location, but hopefully this aspect of who we are will never change.
